High School is coming to a close for this year's seniors.  As you get tready to take your A.P. tests, are waiting to hear if they got into their favorite college, and are looking forward to have that senior project coming to a close, it is time to think about your graduation invitations/announcements.  What do you want to announce your accomplishment?  Welker Photography likes to provide you with something oh so personal and fun.  So let's create what works best for you.

First, choose which kind of card you want.
Many of you have 25 flat cards with envelopes included in the order you placed earlier this year.  If you want to upgrade to Folded cards, it is $20 per set.  Additional sets are $79 for 25 and $99 for decorative edge cut cards, or folded cards.  You can choose 1) heavyweight, textured bamboo paper, 2) 100% post consumer recycled paper in matte finish or glossy, or you can get 3) shimmery pearl finish cardstock that is lighter weight, with or without high gloss finish.  Also, do you want coordinating thank you cards created in the same style as the graduation cards?  They are also $99 for 25 and $79 for additional sets with the $20 increase for folded or cut cards.

Second, choose your pictures.
For flat cards, choose up to 3 pictures.  For folded cards, choose up to 4 pictures.  You can go back to your online gallery to pick from your favorites there. click the following link to look at them all again.  (Feel free to share this link with others who can help you decide.)

Third, choose what you want to say.  Below is a guideline for inspiration.

Fourth, decide what color you want to have as a background and what color for text.
School colors are always great.  For more formal cards, black and white are always standards.Below, there are a few sample templates for you to pick from and I then custom design your card based on the concept you like best.

Fifth, get all of your info to me and wait.
I will put together a design and email it to you for corrections and approval.  I limit it to two corrections/approval letters.

Sixth, with your approval, I send the to the printer and they should be back in 1-2 weeks.

I can't wait to get you some beautiful announcements!

You get to create the words.  What should you say?  You want to make it short and sweet.  A catchy introduction sentence or graphic words and simple facts work best.  Think in terms of a tweet and not a blog.  If you choose more formal and traditional or more casual, we just want it to fit YOU!

Here are some ideas to inspire your own direction.

More words are suitable for folded cards:

1.     Formal and Traditional

"Boise High school class of 2011 announces the graduation of Emily Fischer.

Commencement Ceremony will take place at Taco Bell Arena on May 29, 2011 at 7 pm.”

2.     Traditional but Relaxed

“We are proud to announce the graduation of

Jessica Walters

From Bishop Kelly High School

Join us in Celebrating

Sunday, June 4, 2013

930 Johnson Place, Eagle

Jessica will be attending the University of Chicago in the fall.”

3.     Personal

“Grant Graduates June 1st  and will be attending Boise State University

this fall with a major in Computer Programming.

Thank you to all our friends and family for your love, support and prayers throughout his life.”

4.   Funny

"We are relieved to announce the graduation of

Emma Kelly Wilson

Please help us celebrate

May 30, 2013 at “Club Wilson”

327 Sheridan Place, Boise.

Emma will study at Harvard University in the fall, leaving her parents lonely and destitute."

Shorter words are appropriate for folded or flat cards:

5.  Simple and Traditional

"Announcing the graduation of

Taylor Sutton

Eagle High School

June 1, 2014  at 7 pm

Taco Bell Arena"

6.  Simple and Modern

“Matthew Rose

Class of 2014

Fresco Arts Academy”

7.  Short and sweet

“Kevin Whitmore

Is proud to announce his graduation

From Rocky Mountain High School

May 28, 2014”

8.  Traditional and friendly

“You’re invited to celebrate

The graduation of

Hailey Simmons

June 4, 2014 @ 7 pm

The Simmons Residence

1234 Beacon Light Road, Eagle”

After you send me the words that you want, I’ll put together the design and have you look at it.  This takes about 2 weeks.  Then, if there aren't any errors, I’ll send them out for printing and you can come pick them up in 2 weeks.
